VAGA - Safety Supervisor Offshore

StatoilHydro is the leading Oil & Gas exploration operator from Norway
and one of the largest offshore oil and gas producers in the world.
StatoilHydro’ s office in Brazil , is responsible for the development
Peregrino Field in the Campos Basin . The Peregrino Project will
demand about R$2 billion of investments during its development phase
and first oil planned for 2010. StatoilHydro is looking for:

Safety Supervisor Offshore

- 4 positions -

The position will involve travels and work onshore in

the early phase but is an offshore position with a

2 weeks on / 2 weeks of schedule.

Desired profile:

• Desirable degree in Engineering (Technical Safety Degree will be
accepted);

• Fluent English (oral and written);

• Drilling and completion experience;

• Around 5 years of offshore experience (desirable on the drilling
and completion phases);

• Experience on HSE team training;

• Experience on licensing and audits participation;

• Experience in offshore emergency plan;

• Familiar with international codes and standards as well as with
Brazilian industrial and construction regulations within HSE;

• Knowledge in IT and software skills and familiar with various HSE
reporting tools.

Main responsibilities:

• Safety Supervisor is an offshore management staff position with
defined task responsibilities within operational HSE during hook-up,
commissioning and operations of Peregrino platforms;

• Transfer of StatoilHydro HSE culture to contracted parties within
the offshore organizations;

• Establish and conduct SAP work permit courses applicable for the
Offshore Completion Phase;

• Take active part in offshore work permit coordination;

• Perform training of defined emergency response teams;

• Take active part in the implementation of Peregrino HSE steering
system;

• Take part in HSE verifications and audits..
